My favorite place in Owensboro is Downtown. I like Downtown because I can do a lot of things there. I go Downtown to watch fireworks every year. One year something happened and my church had fireworks the same day downtown did. But we came up with a plan. We went to church, and then invited my friend over to watch downtown’s fireworks after. I go there for baseball celebrations too. When I go down there though, my favorite thing to do is watch the lights on the bridge. I find a place to sit and relax and watch the beautiful sunset and lights. I also think a couple times I have been on the bridge. My favorite memory on that bridge is going through the bridge at night once. I was on my way to somewhere I forgot but suddenly the lights pop on and I go “wow” that is crazy. I have also seen a statue of Nicky Hayden in downtown near the bridge. I also like to visit Smother’s Park. I go there probably every month and swing and play around. I play tag with my sister there sometimes. In downtown is also the River Park Center. I go on field trips there, and my sister did dance there once. Last, but not least, I like the river a lot. That is my favorite place in the city of Owensboro, Kentucky.
